Charl’s back: A blessing!
THE role that the internet is playing in the amazing relaunch of freeracer is not to be underestimated. Charl Pretorius many years ago saw the gap for a SA horse racing website and took the opportunity to launch his own.
Let’s face it, whether is Larry Flynt or Larry Wainstein there is no better person to be writing articles or digging up dirt on the subjects than Charl Pretorius. Charl has a gift, now this relaunch will complete a frustrating period in his life where the only thing that matched his ever decreasing bank balance was his ever decreasing waist line.
Horseracing has had a few superstars over the last three years or so, Sea The Stars, Frankel , Lizards Desire, Black Caviar to name a few but there is one superstar that has been off our tracks for a while and that superstar is Charl and he is now back with a bang!
Now that he is back, lean and mean and itching to write, the new freeracer will be a no-brainer, he will succeed. Freeracer will again be at the forefront of online horseracing publications and Charl will rock the establishment, having said that, he also has the ability to infiltrate situations and inner circles and give us wonderful articles on former hero’s and characters. I urge advertisers to come on board, The price is right and the traffic will be there. Sign up and support one of SA’s most talented writers.
I could ramble on and on about Charl’s wonderful profile pieces on Jean Heming and Bartie Leisher, I could mention his stance against the machine and how it adversely affected his livelyhood but I will rather ramble on about how he is a part of SA horseracing, that he was sorely missed while out in the wilderness and that SA is richer now that he is back doing what he does best.
Welcome back Charl, I am sure that the new freeracer will be on the cutting edge of debate, it will have thought provoking articles and it will rock that same establishment and keep them on their toes.
So in light of the new freeracer not yielding to the politically correct I thought I’d wish you good luck in as many languages as my mate Google could find and be for once politically correct:
